CAMA recommends a minimum of 1.5 hours of practice outside of class per week.
Students need to provide their own instrument. CAMA has used local music stores for instruments, such as:
-
Kennelly Keys, located in Everett, Lynwood, Bellevue, and Seattle.
-
Hugo Helmer, located in Burlington.
Books may be purchased at our front desk for $10, and instrument supplies such as reeds, valve oil, and cork grease. All In Harmony Bands use the "Standard of Excellence" band books.
Students should bring their instrument and book on the first day of class. Students are also responsible for bringing their music and pencil to every class session. Should a student neglect in bringing their music, there will be a 25 cent borrowing fee for a rented set of music, in which the music is returned at the end of class.
Should a student lose their music, a $15 fee will be charged to replace the sheet music.
